Ep. 34 – Beyond the Valley of the Dolls

Camp meets crazy in a tale that deconstructs the allure of Hollywood. Join us for Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, the movie that demonstrates that bizarre isn’t always bad…

…unless one half of the podcast’s creative team is having a bad day and takes it out on the film.

Ep. 33 – Seven Samurai

On our third visit with Akira Kurasawa we get to experience it all! Romance, passion, death, and drunkenness. Join us for the classic, Seven Samurai.

Ep. 32 – Persona

Two women walk into a beachside cabin. Only one walks out. Or wait, do two walk out? Were there two to begin with? Has one assimilated the other Borg style? And wait, where did that disembodied narrator come from? And why didn’t the husband recognize his wife!?

Clearly, our film for this week prompts a lot of questions. Join us for Persona.

Ep. 31 – Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

This is a PSA from the Criterion Correction: Don’t do drugs.

Wait…hasn’t that been a moral of the podcast before? In any case, we’re headed back to the wonderful world of Terry Gilliam this week, and I’m sorely disappointed that there are no angelic delusions or heroic electricians.

Instead we get Hunter S. Thompson…okay, so he has a different name in the movie, but everyone knows it’s Hunter S. Thompson.

Join us for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Off Correction 02 – Ghostbusters (2016)

Earlier this summer, our childhoods were ruined. Only they weren’t. Join us as we delve into the movie reboot that was just one step too far (apparently?) for fans of the original. As an editorial note, we were both saddened to hear that the likelihood of a sequel is approximately in the same realm as another season of Firefly. So just ignore our talk of excitement in the episode.

Fare thee well busters of ghosts!
